A Long History of Helping Others
During our company’s 95-year history, Royal LePage agents and their offices have been actively involved in helping in our communities.
Ten years ago, agents across the country answered a survey on what type of charitable cause was meaningful and worthy of our support. Overwhelmingly, agents responded that since helping clients buy or sell their home is what we do, then helping those in need to find a safe home, is not only a worthy cause, but also one that is perfectly aligned with what we do. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation was thus founded, to support local shelters and provide a new beginning for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. Through our partnership with the Canadian Women’s Foundation, we fund provincial violence-prevention grants and programs to help women gain economic self-sufficiency. We are also a major financial contributor to the Fourth R, a high school program for preventing violence, substance abuse and risky sexual practices.
We are the only Canadian real estate company with our own charity; the largest public foundation in Canada dedicated exclusively to supporting shelters and ending violence.
Through the generosity and involvement of agents, brokers and contributors, we have elevated awareness for this cause and raised over $6 million, which has restored hope and rebuilt countless lives.
